In February of 2004, I was blessed to travel with 25 missionaries to do volunteer work in a small mountain village of Nicaragua.  It was part of a charity called Operation: Christmas Child, which encouraged volunteers to make up gift boxes for Third-World kids at Christmas and put the gifts in shoe boxes.  After years of participating with my sales team and putting together the boxes, one of my good friends, Dianne Harrison, returned from Nicaragua in 2003 and shared the story of her work.  I was so moved by her example that I immediately signed up for the next trip the following year.  Needless to say, it was a life-changing experience, highlighting how lucky we are to have all that we have, and as a reminder to always be grateful for those advantages.
