Prior to his career in sales and motivational speaking, CJ’s career aspirations had a decidedly more artistic flair.  Having composed and released his first pop album in HMV stores across Toronto in 1994, CJ went on to study Orchestral Composition in University with an eye towards scoring symphony soundtracks for major Hollywood pictures. 

Mr. Hoare’s Opus and Summerdance, composed by CJ Calvert, are performed here by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, who are known for performing on soundtracks such as Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Danny Elfman's Emmy-winning main title music to the Netflix series Wednesday, Oscar-winning Parasite and many more Hollywood blockbusters.

In 2006, after years of focusing solely on his career, CJ decided to return to his passion for music and complete a personal creative goal of finishing a new instrumental CD.  The track titled Shadowed Eclipse was the first song CJ ever composed. It was written when CJ was a 15-year-old high school student.  This CD, titled The Dream, the Struggle… the Victory! is the culmination of 16 years of work and fulfilling a major personal goal.
